Dr Oscar Nliam is passionate about sharing knowledge on the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Energy and Natural Resources, Contract, and Litigation. Participants at the CLDS training programmes have leveraged on his wealth of knowledge and experience to develop skills in Litigation, ADR and Contract.

Dr Oscar Nliam is a First Class honors product of the Nigerian Law School Abuja. He has vast experience in these following areas of law: Energy and Natural Resources, Environment, Information and Communication Technology, Banking and Insurance, Capital Markets and Securities Law, and Litigation. He is presently among the team of lawyers handling a number of high profile cases for the Federal Government of Nigeria and Multinational Corporations. He is actively involved in a broad range of client’s corporate and commercial transactions ranging from advising, drafting of transaction documents, offering legal opinions to ensuring regulatory compliance. He has strong client-service orientation and is client focused. He is goal oriented, target driven and has exceptional forward planning skill. He has successful track record in research and is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria. Oscar Nliam has keen interest in teaching and presentation. He is the author of the following publications below;

‘Achieving Good Corporate Governance in the Nigerian Banking Sector: The Importance of External Control Measures ‘Assessing the Adequacy of International and Regional Legal Frameworks against Corruption’.

He is a recipient of Petroleum Technology Development Fund Overseas Scholarship Scheme for PhD in 2009, and a Recipient of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Scholarship for the Master of Law programme at Dalhousie University Canada 2005-2006
